New Delhi is the capital of Delhi and India.
In the photomontage attached you can see some famous New Delhi sights like what the Indiagate looks like in the daylight or in the evening, or for example how do the facades of Red Fort, Lotus Temple, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar and Swaminarayan Akshardham look like, or the entrance of Dilli Haat.
Indiagate, Lotus Temple, Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar are very photogenic sights for which it is good to reserve time well enough to look around and also wear good walking shoes. I could also add in these the Hauz Khas Village, where I must say you need to be careful with your photography, because some boutique owners there do not allow photos to be taken, where as Swaminarayan Akshardham is a place where photography is totally forbidden. Swaminarayan Akshardham tells about the history of Hindus in an aesthetically appealing way, and is really a place worth visiting in Delhi.
National museum in New Delhi tells about the history of India with archeological findings and art handicrafts. Photography was allowed when I visited. Crafts Museum is a lighter version of Indian handicrafts in a museum, presenting really awesome works, and there’s also a nice restaurant by it, making unique Indian food worth mentioning.
Dilli Haat presents also Indian art and handicrafts in addition to food from all the states in India, which makes it a very special sight to be seen in New Delhi.
For brandshoppers the Connaught Place in the centre of New Delhi is the place not to be missed and the real shopping heaven is the shopping mall DLF Promenade in Vasant Kunj.
