Despite of the warm November, Helsinki has received a thick blanket of white snow in December and life feels wonderful. Helsinki turned into a winter wonderland during Christmas and the streets are adorned with lights and decorations, creating a festive atmosphere. Join me on this Helsinki Center Christmas Walk as I share my experience of walking through the centre. The video tells you about the center of Helsinki and its Christmas lights last night.

The arrival of the thick white blanket of snow in Helsinki at the darkest time of the year removed at least my own winter depression. It seems so rare to see so much white snow in Helsinki before Christmas that I had to capture it on this video with all the Christmas lights you can see in the center of Helsinki.

One slip will also be seen in this video. And if you’ve wondered is it possible to walk in highheels in Helsinki during winter, when all the streets are filled with snow, the video will show that some streets are kept as melt without ice, despite the snowfall.

In this video you will get to see e.g. snowy Espa which is Esplanadi park, Mansku which is the main road Mannerheimintie and Kamppi, where the huge shopping mall and metro and busstops are located. Watch the video here –
