View over Rome from Castel Sant’Angelo (video)

View over Rome from Castel Sant’Angelo (video)

This video was shot from the top of Castel Sant’Angelo in Rome, Italy, during the massive heats of the month of July.

Castel Sant’Angelo gives you a splendid view over the city of Rome, and it is located by the river Tiber, next to the famous Roman bridges. It is also near the Vatican City.

Castel Sant’Angelo has a small entrance fee, and it works as a museum. I would recommend to visit there at least because of the views. See what else I would recommend from the article ”Art and Traveltips for Rome”!

After watching this short video from Rome, more related videos will follow, so enjoy your virtual adventure!

On the road in Amsterdam (video previews)

On the road in Amsterdam (video previews)

Are you planning to travel to Amsterdam in Netherlands?

Then you should definitely read my previous post about Amsterdam called Art and traveltips to Amsterdam.

This video here was shot in the streets of Amsterdam, and what a coincidence – Lata Mangehskar happened to be singing on the radio. She is one of the most well-known singers in Bollywood films, and it has been this way for decades.

After this short video of mine you will get to see some more YouTubevideos about Amsterdam and things related, so take a nice posture and enjoy your armchairtrip!

Back in 2014 there  was also one good Bollywood movie shot partially in Amsterdam. The movie was called Queen, and it was starring Kangana Ranaut (She has had the main role also in other nice Bollywood films like Fashion, Woh Lamhe and Tanu weds Manu). Queen was almost a four star movie according to Indivue, but the problem with that movie, like with many other Bollywood movies which have been shot in the West, like Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film Jab Harry met Sejal, was that it was giving a very one-sided view of an European lifestyle – I mean, if I was an Indian watching Bollywood-movies, I might even start to think that all that Westerners do is party, celebrate and seduce each other, one after the other. Of course that is not the case. But, coincidentally, it might even look like that in the real life in Goa and some other touristic places in India. YouTubers really need to see an effort and make more videos to show what the real life in Europe is like, isn’t it?

Anyways, this other video from Amsterdam tells you about the great painter Vincent Van Gogh. A few months back, in 2017, an animation movie about Van Gogh was released. That movie was called Loving Vincent, and the scenes were totally painted with oilcolours. One has to raise one’s hat for the huge amount of work and effort they had put for that movie. Still, I definitely do recommend you to read the great book about Vincent Van Gogh, written by Irving Stone, to get the whole picture of that artist’s life. And to remember to support the living artists as well.

Oheiset videot on kuvattu Amsterdamista, niin tien päältä kuin Van Goghin museolta. Löydät lisää Amsterdamiin liittyviä artikkeleita suomeksi täältä!

Benaulim Beach, Goa (video preview)

Benaulim Beach, Goa (video preview)

Benaulim Beach is one of them most attractive beaches in South Goa, India, when it comes to being a tourist.

It is a beautiful and rather peaceful beach, child friendly, and mostly not too crowded. Located in-between Colva and Varca Beaches, there’s two main entrances to Benaulim Beach – one is through the restaurant and shop area and the other one is through the fishermen’s workplace where they dry their fish by the roadside. The latter one is more peaceful place with less beach shacks during holiday season.

This short video from Benaulim Beach was shot during sunset time in Hard Roque beach shack. Quality beach shacks in Goa are safe places to eat and dine. Many of them even have running water nowadays.

After watching this short video from Benaulim Beach, you will get to see more videos about Benaulim Beach, Goa, made by other people than me, so enjoy your adventure!

Elephanta Caves in Mumbai, India (video preview)

Elephanta Caves in Mumbai, India (video preview)

I mentioned about the Elephanta Caves in Mumbai, India, back in 2006, when I was visiting there, and shooting the video attached below. The blog article from that period of time, 2006, with the tiny images, is what was possible to post from India back then. Reason being the laptop with its extremely slow speed for any kind of function, from shifting the photos from my camera to the computer and then cropping them and shifting to a memory stick and taking to an Internet cafe. And then on top of all that we had the very slow internet connection in a Mumbai Net Cafe back then, which took several minutes for a few kilobytes.

So much trouble in 2006, only to tell you about the great sight of Elephanta Caves, which is one them World Heritage Sites located in India. Inside the caves there are many stone carvings made of Hindu Gods. Protected from the monsoon weather. Reachable only by boat.

Today, in 2018, internet enables you to see many other videos about the Elephanta Caves in Mumbai after watching this short video of mine. So do take a look and enjoy you visual adventure!

INDIVUE

Travel Opus to Bollywood – Matkaopus Bollywoodiin

Ever since 2005 Indivue has been writing this unique, first of its kind, Travel Opus to Bollywood (in Finnish “Matkaopus Bollywoodiin”), telling the readers about the Bollywood movies and the stars as well as about traveling in India, both in Finnish and in English, in websites like www.indivue.blogspot.com and www.indivue.com as well as through various social media channels like Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.

It was only in 2013 when Bollywood movie premieres started regularly coming to some theathers in Finland. Before that Bollywood movies were only shown once a year during Love & Anarchy -film festival in Helsinki.

Nowadays Bollywood movies are even more easier to see than, lets say 10 years ago, when you had to travel all the way to India to get some. Not to mention UK.

Still, in case you’re not familiar with Bollywood or Indian cinema, it is about time you did that. But for the time being, before this opus being translated, you can

read the Travel Opus to Bollywood for free: Find Matkaopus Bollywoodiin in Finnish here!

Indivue has guided you to the best of movies and stars, so enjoy your experience, adventure, and follow Indivue’s social media channels. And do remember to invite your friends along!

If you want to see even more, read the instructions here!

Cabo de Rama Fort in South Goa – 360˚ video preview back in 2006

Cabo de Rama Fort in South Goa – 360˚ video preview back in 2006

Cabo de Rama Fort is one of the best sights in South Goa, India. Way up on the hill takes a little bit effort but is worth every penny of your time.

This video of Cabo de Rama Fort was originally shot in the year 2006 and back in those days backpackers from Europe had to shoot 360-degree videos manually, or should I say organically – Well, whatever the case – see it for yourself and press the play button.

After watching this short video, you will get to see other videos from Cabo de Rama and the topics related. If you are interested in seeing lots of other videos I’ve shot into my Goa travel sketchbook, you can find them from the Real Goa Short Cut -video collection I’ve made in YouTube. Those videos will be authentic scenes with authentic sounds from Goa, India. You will really get the feeling. Remember to follow Indivue in YouTube as well!

Yksi Etelä-Goan kauneimmista nähtävyyksistä on Cabo de Rama Fort -linnake, joka sijaitsee korkean kukkulan laella ja tarjoaa upeat näkymät Arabian merelle.

Marina Beach in Chennai (video preview)

Marina Beach in Chennai (video preview)

Today let me introduce to you this scene I captured while travelling in the East Coast of India – the Marina Beach in Chennai. The waves hitting the Marina Beach were actually often a lot more rougher than what I’ve experienced in the West coast of India – check for a comparison the video from the West Coast of India and Cavelossim Beach in Goa.

Marina Beach was not suitable for swimming, but otherwise very photogenic, especially when crowded.

Find more photos from Chennai in here.

Allthough Chennai is very well known for its own film industry, Tamil cinema, also known as Kollywood, there was also one nice Bollywood movie shot there, which is Chennai Express, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.
Back in 2013 when this Chennai Express movie was originally released, it was also seen in theatres in Finland. Indivue reviewed the movie Chennai Express in Finnish here.

Find also the Indivue Travel Opus to India in Finnish from the same site!

More travelling and sightseeing videos about India you will find from the preceding link – Have yourself a nice visual adventure to all around India provided by Indivue and share it with a friend!
