I considered carefully shall I sacrifice huge three hours of my time for the Helsinki Love & Anarchy -filmfestival movie Enthiran, Robot, since I was not that familiar with Tollywood. The film was apparently a sci-fi movie, which also is not my cup of tea, and the showtime was an uninviting Sunday midday and the movie in an unknown language, and of course, it turned out to be a beautiful sunny Sunday, made to be spent outside in the open air.
But I do not regret seeing the film at all. Robot is the only film I have seen, where the entire theatre audience gives a thunderous applause when going to intermission’s ten minute break, and again when the movie ends. I swear the applause didn’t come because the movie was over.
The film was visually stunning, made for wide canvas, warm and refreshing masala movie, which watered one’s eyes with both joy and sorrow. It was having Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan and Rajinikanth in the main roles. Four stars out of five for the film Robot.
