Last week I had the joy and honor to experience the Incredible India Road Show in Helsinki, Finland and update my knowledge about the travel destinations and other travel related issues concerning India.
After 13 years of blogging in Finnish and in English, especially about Goa, India and the Indian art and culture and Bollywood, I was happy to hear that there is a huge growth in India with tourist arrivals from Nordic countries.
It was told that travelling to India is becoming easier: There is now E-visa for 166 countries with 60 days validity and some single entries can be converted to double/triple entries and extending E-visa is also possible for various segments like tourist, medical and business.
And nowadays India has also got some tourist friendly initiatives like 24/7 toll free multilingual tourist helpline and India is also a Wi-Fi enabled tourist destination in railway stations and airports.
Delhi, being the capital of India, is one of its fastest growing cities and from Delhi you can get almost anywhere in India, by road, air and railways.
Delhi itself is divided into two, the new and the old Delhi, and you can see the remains of seven important capitals there, like Shahjahanabad and Qutub Minar, on which the modern day Delhi is built.
I have told about them many essential sights of Delhi for travellers here, but now, let me update the photos from 2007, back when the blogging speed was next to impossible and computer programs mostly incompatible with each other.
