Ladybird_bicycle_in_Goa_beach_India

Here’s a recent Indivue short video telling you about some 13 different methods to travel in India. Recent I say, because the video was recently updated. But mostly it is an update to the previous video about various ways to travel in India for a female.

Although the video duration is only 2:20 minutes, it has taken some 13 years to make it. Videos are from such a long period of time.

Delhi winter morning in 2019 goes foggy and smoggy

Winter morning in New Delhi 2019

It had been five years since my previous visit to Delhi, India.

The New Delhi airport was looking kind of same, but the air outside was different. I realized the foggy sceneries which I had wondered in the recent hindi film Rajma Chawal from 2018 had actually been the real Delhi. And then I remembered the video I had seen in Twitter last winter, where the winter fog in Delhi had once been so bad that cars were crashing to each other.

Luckily this time the Delhi winter fog and smog were not that bad. Though later on my continuing flight from Delhi was delayed with couple of hours. The reason being the fog only.

Otherwise in January Delhi was chilling cold and warm clothes and winter jackets were needed. I found Christmas decoration like Christmas tree and reindeers with the sledge by the road to the airport. What a nice way to greet the tourist and cheer up the landscape!

Since I was travelling early morning, no traffic jams were met. Most of the motorcycle and scooter drivers were wearing helmets for their protection, but many passengers were still lacking those.

The stadium building in Delhi was a new sight to me. Find the stadium, the good old rickshaws and other means of public transport together with some chilly Delhi winter scenes from January 2019 with the fog and smog here in this video, and subscribe INDIVUE for more travel and art to come!

Shore Temple in Mahabalipuram, and 5 reasons to see it

Shore Temple is located by the sea in the East Coast of India and it is said to have been built in 700 – 728 AD. Here’s 5 reasons why you should go and see this Hindu temple by the Bay of Bengal. It has survived over 2500 years by the sea and even a tsunami –

5 reasons to see the Shore Temple in Mahabalipuram

  1. Shore Temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Monument.
  2. It is one of the oldest structural stone temples of South India.
  3. Shore Temple is beautiful and impressive to look and experience at.
  4. Shore Temple is located by the Bay of Bengal, so you get to see the East Coast of India at the same time.
  5. Mahabalipuram Dance Festival is held by this site, to celebrate traditional Indian dance.

The photographs from Mahabalipuram show you the clear blue sky on a typical hot and sunny day in Tamil Nadu. There’s a green nature surrounding the Shore Temples.

In addition to lions and Nandi, many Gods and Goddesses were also carved in the temple stones. See the images attached –

Essential Delhi sights -video

Last week I had the joy and honor to experience the Incredible India Road Show in Helsinki, Finland and update my knowledge about the travel destinations and other travel related issues concerning India.

After 13 years of blogging in Finnish and in English, especially about Goa, India and the Indian art and culture and Bollywood, I was happy to hear that there is a huge growth in India with tourist arrivals from Nordic countries.

It was told that travelling to India is becoming easier: There is now E-visa for 166 countries with 60 days validity and some single entries can be converted to double/triple entries and extending E-visa is also possible for various segments like tourist, medical and business.

And nowadays India has also got some tourist friendly initiatives like 24/7 toll free multilingual tourist helpline and India is also a Wi-Fi enabled tourist destination in railway stations and airports.

Delhi, being the capital of India, is one of its fastest growing cities and from Delhi you can get almost anywhere in India, by road, air and railways.

Delhi itself is divided into two, the new and the old Delhi, and you can see the remains of seven important capitals there, like Shahjahanabad and Qutub Minar, on which the modern day Delhi is built.

I have told about them many essential sights of Delhi for travellers here, but now, let me update the photos from 2007, back when the blogging speed was next to impossible and computer programs mostly incompatible with each other.

Here are the essential Delhi sights photographed during 2007-2014 in a shortvideo, do check it out:

Many new videos are also on their way, so do subscribe Indivue blog and vlog so that you don’t miss a thing!

And did you know, that you can also read about them essential sights of Delhi in Finnish here and follow Indivue in Finnish as well?

The official Delhi Tourism site gives you all the information in English and maps you need when you travel to Delhi.

And last but not least – do check also them updated travel and art videos inspired by India!
