This video I made about the sunrise at Baltic Sea on a ship to Helsinki is more than just a visual diary; it’s a cinematic journey capturing the essence of a memorable voyage from Stockholm to Helsinki. This trip, undertaken in November 2021, was set against the backdrop of a tranquil Baltic Sea, still unfrozen and brimming with the gentle rhythm of its waves.
The heart of this visual narrative is the accommodation on board the Viking M/S Gabriella. My cabin, nestled on the 11th deck, was not merely a space but a haven of comfort and elegance. Boasting a well-appointed interior and the luxury of a balcony, it offered a unique vantage point to witness the natural beauty of the sea. Waking up in the morning in a cozy bed, I was greeted by the captivating sight of sun rays dancing over the ocean waves, a scene so serene it almost felt ethereal.
This music-laden video is crafted to transport you to those very moments, allowing you to experience the beauty of the sunrise as if through my own eyes. But the journey extends beyond the confines of the cabin. You are also invited to indulge in the nocturnal beauty of the sea under the full moon. The video captures the moonlight casting its silvery glow on the undulating waves, creating a magical atmosphere that’s both mesmerizing and soothing.
Moreover, the culinary experiences aboard the Viking Line are given their due spotlight. The video features a delectable gluten-free à la carte breakfast, complete with a scrumptious omelet, showcasing the line’s commitment to catering to diverse dietary needs without compromising on taste and quality.
In essence, this video is not just a recount of a trip; it’s an invitation to immerse yourself in the beauty and tranquility of sea travel, the comfort of excellent accommodation, and the delight of exquisite dining, all set to a harmonious musical backdrop. It’s a journey that promises to engage your senses and leave you with a longing for the sea.
Finally, the moment you’ve all been waiting for! 8 years in the making, I present to you my epic journey from the West coast of India to the East coast, from the sun-kissed beaches of Goa to the bustling city of Chennai. Join me as I embark on the Chennai Express train, setting off from the Madgaon station in Goa, surrounded by the chaos of people, chai wallas and the anticipation of adventure. As the train pulls away, people wave goodbye to the platform, just like in a Bollywood movie.
Get ready to be mesmerized as I journey through lush green forests and towering hills, with a glimpse of the magnificent Dudhsagar waterfall. One night on this train and it will arrive at my destination, but not without some bumps along the way.
I take my seat-turned-bed by the window and settle in for the night, with a bluish curtain for privacy and my trusty backpack by my side, as I’ve learned to be vigilant against pickpockets on trains. A cozy white sheet awaits me for a restful sleep.
As we roll into Chennai Central station the next day, I am reminded of the unpredictable nature of traveling by train in India. Although it was a rough ride, it was worth it for the memories and experiences gained.
